GSOC2026_TSAI_Retool jenkins.io website Success Stories

Hi everyone :waving_hand: I am a student at Northwestern University Information System Major with a strong interest in developer productivity, open-source collaboration, and modern web technologies. I am passionate about building tools that improve developer experience and make complex systems more accessible.

I have previous experience using Jenkins in CI/CD workflows for building and deploying applications. During this process, I used Jenkins to configure pipelines, manage build jobs, and integrate with version control systems. While working with Jenkins, I noticed that understanding real-world usage patterns and best practices often required searching across multiple sources such as documentation, blog posts, and community discussions.

In particular, I found that the Success Stories section has strong potential to help users learn from real production use cases, but the current structure makes it difficult to browse, filter, and discover relevant examples. Users cannot easily explore stories by industry, use case, or technology stack, which limits the usefulness of these valuable resources.

This experience motivated me to improve the Success Stories section to make it more discoverable, structured, and user-friendly. By redesigning the UI and introducing better filtering and metadata organization, users will be able to quickly find relevant examples and understand how Jenkins is used in real-world environments. I believe this improvement will make Jenkins more approachable for new users and more informative for experienced practitioners.

I am particularly motivated to work on this project because it combines UI/UX design, frontend engineering, and open-source contribution. I look forward to improving the Jenkins website experience and contributing long-term to the Jenkins community.
