  • GSoC 2025 project idea discussion has begun. Happy to say we have a good list of project ideas. Kris will be updating the webpage as we recruit mentors. We encourage anyone interested in becoming a mentor and or suggest project ideas to reach out to us.
  • FOSDEM:
    • Contributor summit
      • We have a meeting room for the contributor summit at the Betacowork space in Brussels.
      • Participation & planning is led by Bruno - Join the planning here and let us know you’re joining us so we may plan accordingly.
  • Contributor spotlight story:
    • November 5 - Jesse Glick
    • Thank you Kevin for doing all the heavy lifting
    • New year posts:
      • Top 5 advices from heavy contributors to new members of the open source
      • Even doing some kind of look back at Jenkins over the years vs. where it is now
  • Strengthen community efforts update
    • KS:Push out completion to end of year.
  • Election - voter registration,last day today - Oct 31, 2024. Register at Jenkins election voter 2024 - Jenkins
  • Hacktoberfest: Not as many participation this year. Kevin got a lot of participation & help.
