Is it worth importing the existing content? It looks pretty easy for a group admin to export the mailing list to mbox via google takeout. I’d have to contact discourse support to do the import, but seems pretty doable.

I think it is worth importing the existing content. I am a group admin and may be able to make you a group admin as well. Would you be willing to help with that transition?

I’m out of the office next week so won’t make progress next week and tomorrow is already overloaded.

I’ll reach out to support and see what they say. Feel free to make me an admin, or don’t. There’s no time pressure.

After the import is done it should be made read only, maybe with an auto reply, and something like
