Hello Jenkins Community and Mentors! :waving_hand:

My name is Kanhaiya Mehta, and I am an aspiring contributor for Google Summer of Code with the Jenkins project.

Over the past few weeks, I have been actively diving into Jenkins core internals, Stapler, label caching architecture, and form validation. Rather than waiting, I wanted to understand the codebase by solving real issues:

Recent Contributions & PRs:

  • PR #27457: Fix quoted label atom and unquoted expression cache collision
    • Resolved Issue #27452 by separating composite label expressions from the atom cache.
    • Added validation in NodeDescriptor to reject label expression operator characters (&, |, !, (, )) in node labels with full unit test coverage.
  • PR #27448: Display active system notice banner on login page (Issue #27230)
  • PR #27428: Canonicalize cached label expressions to share load statistics (Issue #27403)
