Changing favicon to a unique one?

The Discourse uses the classic Jenkins icon used by jenkins.io and some other Jenkins instances. While it is kinda cool for branding, I get completely lost in tabs.

Would it make sense to change the Discourse favicon? E.g. to the “Worldwide” logo. This logo is used by Jenkins Online Meetup, but there should be no use in favicons

Options:

  • keep the current “Jenkins Classic” favicon
  • switch to the “Jenkins World” icon
  • create new Jenkins on Discourse icon
  • other (comments)

To be honest, I am not affected by that so I am fine with both

No objections from me. I don’t keep any other jenkins.io site open full time so it doesn’t bother me, but it is a much shinier image so cool?

My 3 tabs when I opened the response notification from @halkeye

+1 from me, even though I don’t usually have more than one tab open either.

Since you pinged me directly. I again can’t stress enough how little I care what the favicon is. I never use favicons to identify sites, so it doesn’t matter to me. If you want to change it, change it.
