Jenkins plugins installation (no internet)

Thanks in advance,

I have installed jenkins on a corporate server (not connected to internet), and from the UI when I select “New Item” and enter an item name,

the only button/option I have to select from is “Freestyle project”

From an old installation (different machine) it had other button options to select from.

One in particular was a 1"Pipeline" button option.

Would anywone know why I have no “Pipeline” button option to select from (to press the OK button)?

Any help wold be greatly appreciated.

Capabilities are added to Jenkins by plugins. Your new installation does not have the necessary plugins for Pipeline jobs. You’ll need to provide those plugins. The offline installations documentation provides some guidance that can help you.

That is a very old Jenkins weekly release with multiple known critical security vulnerabilities. Since your corporate server is probably not connected to the internet in the hopes of increasing its security, you should not install a Jenkins version with multiple known critical security vulnerabilities.

Jenkins has the concept of a long term support (stable) release that is probably better suited to your offline environment.
