Hello everyone,
My name is Minos Chatzidakis and I am a second-year Computer Science student at the University of Piraeus in Athens, Greece.
My primary technical background includes Java, JavaScript, and frontend frameworks such as React and React Native. Importantly for this project, I have also implemented Google’s OAuth 2.0 in a previous application. I am confident I can translate that core OAuth knowledge over to Microsoft’s structure to produce a robust and secure result.
I am very eager to contribute to Jenkins for this year’s GSoC. It is an incredible opportunity to learn how to navigate and efficiently contribute to an enterprise-level Java codebase, while helping modernize Jenkins’ email notification mechanism-a critical element of its CI/CD pipeline.
I am currently setting up my local Jenkins development environment, reading through the codebase, and hunting for a “good first issue” so I can make my first code contribution.
I look forward to interacting with the mentors! If anyone has early advice on specific areas of the authentication flow I should review first, I would love to hear it.
