Hello everyone :waving_hand:

I’m Shruti Mandape, a Computer Science undergraduate from India, and I’m exploring GSoC 2026 with Jenkins — particularly the Plugin Modernizer Stats Visualization project.

I have experience working with JavaScript, React, and building web applications, and I’m especially interested in data visualization and building user-friendly dashboards. I enjoy transforming structured datasets into clear, actionable visual insights. I’ve started reviewing:

  • The jenkins-infra/metadata-plugin-modernizer repository

  • The existing stats.jenkins.io site

  • The overall Plugin Modernizer concept and its generated metadata

I’m currently exploring how the dataset can be modeled for visualization and how a static-site architecture using React + TypeScript + Vite could efficiently consume and render the data at build time.

I would appreciate guidance on:

  • Recommended first issues to start contributing

  • Dataset structure details or common pitfalls

  • Preferred static-site tooling considerations for large tables
