- Docker compose for easier and safer tutorials
- Successfully completed!
- 4 or 5 tutorials now execute with a single command
- Remaining work
- Create a docker container repository in jenkins-infra
- Create a docker folder on Dockerhub
- Create jobs to maintain those containers
- Already maintenance configured, not yet running on ci.jenkis.io
- Versioned documentation for Jenkins.io - Vandit Singh
- Very near a working Antora site with versioned documentation
- The Gatsby integration still needs some work
- Abandoned the strapi backend idea for blog post review
- Will simplify the process by using GitHub to review blog posts
- Next steps
- Focus on fixing Antora site links (most fixed, need another pass)
- No automation to repair the links, will need to read the log files for links
- Needs more study of the output and how it works
- Some hope for later automation
- Need to check the links interactively
- Project may be able to complete all the planned milestones
- Blog is easier now that weāre not using the strapi backend, stay with GitHub
- GitLab plugin modernization
- Interactive testing by Mark Waite has been delayed by work
- Needs more testing, more comparison of old and new behavior
- See the test outlines that are in the project meeting notes
- Project has completed successfully
- Harsh has agreed to continue as a plugin maintainer (that is first time a contributor became a maintainer)
- Interactive testing by Mark Waite has been delayed by work
- Plugin health score
- Discussions on Gitter related to an issue
- Score calculation is flawed in some way
- Adrien was working on code improvements that may help Jagrutiās work (if Mark remembers correctly)
- Possible future action is on GitHub in an issue by Alex Brandes
- One more probe that can be implemented
- Jagruti mentioned on the third party repo probe again
- There was an issue with how to detect the third party repositories
- Need to check project documentation, may need additional documentation
- Consider it for Hacktoberfest
- Discussions on Gitter related to an issue
- Docker compose for easier and safer tutorials
- How to describe the process of choosing a plugin bill of materials version
- No progress since previous meeting
- Described in issue 2359
- Consider using updatecli to update the version string explicitly in the documentation
- Consider including static references to older versions in addition to the most recent release
- Consider adding a blog post that highlights how to do it
- Java 11, Java 17, and Java 21 discussion (see Google Doc from Mark Waite)
- Discussion, next steps, etc.
- More work needed, pictures to help explain
- Mark show his picture (draft form)
- Pull request for discussion
- Jenkins top contributor project
- Worked on by Jenkins officers, to recognize top contributors to the Jenkins project
- Idea is that we will start publishing contributor spotlights to highlight, acknowledge, and appreciate the dedication and hard work that these individuals have given to Jenkins.
- Currently compiling contributor stories to be published
- Next step is creating the Overview page for all contributors, and the individual contributor spotlight pages, need assistance with writing html/creating these pages.
- Cristina Pizzagalli has created a mock up of what the page should look like, so we have a lot to work from, itās just a matter of generating the html to match this.
- Massive thanks to Cristina for putting this together
- DevOps World Tour
- Starts next week, September 13 - 14!
- Jenkins āafterhoursā session after the conclusion of DevOps World Tour
- Business benefits of contributing to open source - New York, Chicago, and Santa Clara - Mark Waite
- Singapore - Olivier Lamy
- London - Tim Jacomb
