Call for Testers: Simplified Maven and Jenkins Tutorial with Docker

Dear Jenkins Community,

We’re excited to announce a revamped tutorial designed to make your entry into the world of Maven and Jenkins with Docker a breeze. The tutorial has undergone significant simplification, allowing even those without prior Docker knowledge to dive in effortlessly. All you need is to install docker-compose on your machine, and you’re good to go.
This is the result of a 2023 GSoC project, where @ash-sxn, @berviantoleo, @Jmm, and I worked together to lay the foundations of this tutorial.

How to Participate:

  1. Install docker-compose on your machine.
  2. Follow the step-by-step instructions in the tutorial.
  3. Test the setup and share your valuable feedback.

Why Your Input Matters: Your experience as testers is invaluable to us. Your insights will not only help refine this tutorial but also pave the way for similar guides on Python, Node, and more.

Ready to Dive In? Find the tutorial and start your journey. We encourage you to be as detailed as possible in your feedback.

Share Your Thoughts: After testing, head over to this thread and share your thoughts. Your contributions will play a crucial role in enhancing the Jenkins learning experience for everyone.

Let’s build a stronger Jenkins community together!

I’m thinking of adding a .NET tutorial. I’ll need a bit of hands-on before creating the tutorial. I want to check if communities will need the tutorial.
