SSO SAML authentication is redirecting to blank page (http://jenkins.domainname.com:8080)

We are trying to implement SAML SSO using OKTA for Jenkins (SAML 2.0 plugin). We have implemented all configuration as per below article.

Authentication is going through SSO using Okta but it is not redirecting to Jenkins homepage. It is redirecting blank page. Is HTTPS URL mandatory for SSO using Okta setup? (http://jenkins.domainname.com:8080)

Isn’t it mandatory to use https with SSO/Okta?
