SSO issue with Azure AD "You are now logged out of Jenkins, however this has not logged you out of SAML"

We have been experiencing disconnections from Jenkins with the following message: “You are now logged out of Jenkins, however this has not logged you out of SAML.” While working on Jenkins, users unexpectedly receive this issue and the temporary solution is to get people to log out from office.com and login again. SSO for Jenkins is configured with Azure

You seem to be using the SAML plugin, which contains that message. You could try the Microsoft Entra ID (previously Azure AD) plugin instead. But I don’t really know why users would get that message from the SAML plugin if they aren’t deliberately logging out from Jenkins. It’s possible that the problem would still occur with the Microsoft Entra ID plugin, too.

(The Entra ID plugin page notes that it ”won’t be supported by Microsoft”; but the SAML plugin hasn’t been supported by Microsoft either, so there’s no difference in that respect.)
