• LTS updates
  • New LTS release: 2.580.2 - 28 Oct 2026 - release checklist
• MinGit 2.56.0.2 updates are blocked on Windows agent container images
  • Inbound agent container pull request
  • SSH agent container pull request
  • MinGit 2.56.0 switches an internal path name from mingw64 to ucrt64
    • Container images and git client plugin documentation refer to internal path name
    • Windows installation needs extra steps for Git large file support (LFS)
    • Documentation pull request provides correct instructions
• New Java patches expected today
  • Oracle downloads of new releases for Java 25 will be available today
  • Eclipse Temurin downloads for Java 8, 11, 17, 21, and 25 not yet available
    • Java upgrade campaign will use Eclipse Temurin for all our supported platforms
• Jakarta EE 10 support
  • Breaking change with removal of HttpServerContext, need to adapt to that change in Jenkins core
  • Pull requests not yet submitted for Jenkins core and related components
  • Update to Jakarta EE 10 will not happen until 2027
• Java 25 support
  • 244 of the top 250 actively maintained plugins are testing with Java 25
  • No reports of issues specific to Java 25

• CDF now has a Platform Engineering SIG - focused on Platform Engineering as a concept
