We have folder called ‘Automation’ in which all permissions are inherited globally defined permissions. Within that we have a job in which a specific AD group is allowed to read, build etc. For this this job we set ‘Inheritance Strategy’ as ‘Do not inherit permission grants from other ACLs’. In this scenario, even though we have given the AD group permissions such as read, build etc., none of the group members can view the job.
How can we ensure that the permissions granted for this AD group work correctly without inheriting any permissions for this job?
Do the users of your special AD group have read permission on the Automation folder?
Yes they have read permission on the Automation folder.
