Jenkins.log issue

Hi all,

I noticed that in our Jenkins environment, the default jenkins.log file is missing from the /var/log/jenkins directory. This has made it challenging for us to troubleshoot certain issues and monitor Jenkins activity effectively.

Could you please advise on the recommended approach to resolve this issue? Additionally, if there are any alternative configurations or potential causes we should investigate, your guidance would be greatly appreciated.

The Jenkins service on Linux has moved from System V init to systemd in March 2022 as announced in the Jenkins blog post. That changes the log location to match systemd standard logging practices.
