I am trying to delete the c:.jenkins directory on my windows server which is the plugins directory. However, it says the file or folder is open. The main jenkins directory has been deleted. The jenkins service has been removed and is no longer running. The software was not correctly removed via uninstalling it because the uninstall option was not available. I’m not sure how this directory is in use when everything else has been removed.
If windows is complaining it’s in use, then its in use.
Years ago I used process Explorer to track that down. Not sure if there’s more modern tooling now.
Yes it is definitely in use but not sure how. I installed process explorer but its not finding anything. I will keep trying.
