Hi Jenkins community,
My name is Shanid Sajjatuz Islam, a 7th semester Computer Science student at BRAC University, Bangladesh. I recently started my open source journey and I’m genuinely excited to contribute to Jenkins through GSoC 2026.
My primary expertise is in frontend and full-stack development — React, TypeScript, Node.js, and related web technologies. I recently had my first pull request merged (#8951), which has been a great way to get familiar with the codebase and contribution process.
I’m currently going through the Jenkins documentation to deepen my understanding of the project. I’ve read the contributor guide and the GSoC 2026 project ideas list, and I’m actively exploring which project aligns best with my skills. I want to make sure I pick something I can contribute to meaningfully rather than just applying for the sake of it.
