Getting error on console output

Jenkins setup: 2.470
Chrome: 127

I am getting this message: Failed to fetch more data. The page might no longer exist or you no longer have permission to see it.

Google returns nothing in regards to this error.

I never used to get this in the past (… many years). It scrolls for about a page and I get the message. I then have to refresh the page.

From the log I have 1 error:

And then for every time that I get the error I see one of these:

Aug 06, 2024 1:30:53 PM WARNING org.eclipse.jetty.http.HttpParser parseFields
Header is too large 8193>8192
``

Thanks

I know that Jenkins tends to keep too many session cookies and that can lead to the header getting too big. Deleting the cookies helps usually. Though I don’t know if this is the case here.

Thanks for the tip, tried it but no luck.

As a wild guess, I would speculate that you are running within a non-default container like Apache Tomcat or WildFly. You might check the configuration of that container or you might consider switching to use the standard Jetty container that is used by Jenkins when it is started with java -jar jenkins.war. The Jetty container is also used when Jenkins is installed as a Linux package. The Jetty container is also used when Jenkins with the Windows MSI installer. The Jetty web container is used when Jenkins runs in a Docker container image.

Pure vanilla installation. Basic Jenkins and bunch of plugins.

I was seeing this as well. It is due to too large headers and the progressiveHtml endpoint is returning a 431. If you can check the request headers you will probably see multiple JSESSIONID’s or similar.
