  • LTS 2.440.1 released on February 21
    • Release itself went well, no issues in Jenkins core release
    • Upgrade guide caused build issues for jenkins.io, thanks to Damien Duportal for resolving this issue and getting everything squared away.
    • Going forward, upgrade guide will have screenshots (just like changelog)
  • Contributor Summit/FOSDEM recap
    • Blog post being constructed, Kevin has shared with other officers/community members for suggestions and additions/insights from participants
    • Looking to publish tomorrow/Monday depending on suggestions/edits.

    • Jenkins has been accepted as a GSoC Organization!

    • Jenkins hosted a Jenkins Online Meetup Tuesday to introduce some ideas more deeply

    • Delayed for a bit due to Azure cost savings
    • Kevin, Kris, and Daniel Beck met to discuss Security Advisories and page generation
      • Reassurance for security team in terms of power/speed
    • Kris will be reviewing pull requests to add more Gatsby features
      • Moving some features around from Antora to/from Gatsby
        • Antora is a bit more rigid in its presentation
        • Flexibility & customization from Gatsby
    • Pull request from Daniel Beck regarding individual pages for each version changelog (in addition to the full changelog)
      • Great idea, would be nice and clear for readers using links (instead of relying on anchors and having the full changelog rendered every single time)
  • Maven & Python tutorial revamps now merged
    • Still need to fix the position of “docker compose up -d” with copy button
      • Found that tutorials do not have copy button functionality
      • Maven tutorials helped a user get started (thanks to Docker Compose!!!)
    • NodeJs tutorial PR submitted
    • Multibranch pipeline next
    • Eventually incorporate Docker Compose into installation docs
  • Password reset for admins
    • Looks good, have tested and the steps work
    • Merged accordingly
  • Adding sponsor attributions
    • Governance board action item to create a sponsors page
      • Can then use subsets of the sponsors page on other pages
    • Request comes from a friend of Jenkins at JFrog to add attribution to downloads page
    • AWS has donated $60000 to Jenkins
    • Digital Ocean has donated for both 2023 & 2024 and should be visible (with icon)
    • Microsoft has donated as well
    • Ampere has donated 2 ARM64 servers as well!
      • First time sponsorship with Ampere (in the works for about one year)
      • Currently being stored at Mark Waite’s house
