This morning I updated Jenkins and all plugins to the latest version. Since the update I cannot connect to GitHub anymore via the GitHub App credentials that I have configured. I saw that in the System Configuration, in the GitHub section there were no credentials configured anymore. I was also no longer able to select the configured GitHub App credentials (that are still present in the Credentials store).
Jenkins setup:
Jenskins version 2.528.1 (upgraded from 2.516.1)
Credentials Binding Plugin version 702.vfe613e537e88 (upgraded from 687.v61… [rest not readable])
Hmm, I’m going to dig into this further. I’m seeing the same thing in my lab instance, but I thought it was related to my lab not having enough RAM.
It’s okay if you can’t read the whole string after the version. version numbers are .v. So anybody should be able to go to build 687 and figure out where you are.
no, my production Jenkins controller has zero issues selecting credentials of any type, including GitHub App credentials. My lab controller is weirdly broken for this, though.
