Unable to log into Gitter (No login methods available)

Hi everyone,

I’m trying to access Jenkins Gitter, but I’m unable to log in.

Steps:

  1. Open https://app.gitter.im/#/login

  2. Select homeserver gitter.im and click Continue

  3. Redirected to login page showing only a username field as shown in the screenshot below.

Issue:

  • Message: “No login methods available”

  • Submitting the form returns: missing field password

Context:

  • Gitter was working previously

  • Issue started after clearing browser data (cookies/cache)

  • I tried 2 different browsers (Google Chrome and Edge) and both aren’t working

  • I was previously logged in (likely via GitHub)

Has anyone encountered this or knows a workaround?

Having same issue, as of a few days ago, asked for support, no reponse.

are there any updates related to this state?

Solved it by logging in through the Element web portal: Element instead of app.gitter.im. After switching to Element, I was able to access the rooms normally.
