Introducing Myself to the Community

Hi Jenkins Community! :waving_hand:

My name is Ayush Pandey, and I’m an undergraduate student from Mumbai, India. I’m excited to introduce myself as a GSoC 2026 contributor applicant!

About Me:
I’m currently in my CSE-AIML undergraduate program and have recently started learning Java. While I’m at the beginning of my programming journey, I’m highly motivated, a fast learner, and eager to contribute meaningfully to open source.

Why Jenkins?
Jenkins is one of the most widely used CI/CD tools in the world, and I believe contributing to such an impactful project would be an incredible learning experience. The Jenkins community’s reputation for being welcoming to newcomers is what drew me here, and I’m looking forward to growing alongside this community.

Project Interests:
I’m currently exploring all the GSoC 2026 project ideas and am particularly curious about:

  • :wrench: Plugin Modernizer Stats Visualization
  • :robot: AI Chatbot for Jenkins Resources
  • :e_mail: Jenkins Email Notifications (OAuth)

I’m open to mentor guidance on which project would be the best fit for my current skill level.

How I Plan to Contribute:
I’ve already started exploring the Jenkins codebase and will be picking up some newbie-friendly issues to make my first contributions. I’m committed to learning, asking questions, and being an active member of this community.

I’d love any advice on where to start and which project idea might suit a beginner Java developer. Looking forward to connecting with all of you! :folded_hands:

Thanks,
Ayush Pandey
