Hi,

I try to get my first agent work. Controller is already configured. But when I try to install/configure the first agent it ends up by errors.

I use this official tutorial:

Docker installation (on a Linux Mint VM) at this point:

sudo apt-get install docker-ce docker-ce-cli containerd.io docker-compose-plugin

creates this output:

Paket docker-ce ist nicht verfügbar, wird aber von einem anderen Paket
referenziert. Das kann heißen, dass das Paket fehlt, dass es abgelöst
wurde oder nur aus einer anderen Quelle verfügbar ist.

It says that the docker-ce package is not available but is referenced by another package.

Does anyone have experience with this? Or is there another method to connect an agent to controller maybe without using docker? Ssh key is already generated, Agent added on controller etc., but the docker story don’t let me finish this configuration.

I think that you can get the docker-ce package by following the Ubuntu instructions from docker.com

You can also use a static agent as described in

Thanks a lot for your quick response and help! In the meanwhile I tried out a further installation guide. Result: It works fine now. But maybe your post will help me in the future and some other people.
