Hi
After some help with a job that no longer loads
I user made a change to a job config and now when we try and view the job we get this a problem occurred whilst processing the request. I have tried restoring the job config but still get the issue. Do I need to reload from disk after making the change and will this cause any issues to the jobs currently running?
The job is not that important so I could delete it from the /var/lib/jenkins/job folder, would i need to reload from disk afterwards?

Remove those plugins as your first step.
You have outdated plugins with known security vulnerabilities. Upgrading those plugins is a good second step.
You have other outdated plugins. Updating them is the third step.

I am planning on upgrading Jenkins to the latest version over the coming weeks which will sort out these depreciated plugins along with the security risks. Is there a way to see if the plugin is in use?
As a stop gap, if i remove the job causing the issue from the job folder and reload from disk will this cause any issues with currently running jobs and their configs?
I’ve not had great experiences with reload from disc. Deleting the job from a call to the Jenkins command line seems like the safest approach to me. If you need to delete the job outside Jenkins, then I’d suggest a restart rather than a reload from disc.
I have never deleted a job from the script. Could you give me an example?

Download the Jenkins command line jar from the page at /cli/ in your Jenkins controller.
Create a new token from your /user/your-user-name/security page
Use that new token in a Java command like this:
java -jar jenkins-cli.jar -auth your-username:your-token \
-s your-jenkins-url \
delete-job /Hosting-Providers/delete-me-please
In my example, I have a job named ‘delete-me-please’ in the ‘Hosting-Providers’ folder.
