Used to work as an Application Engineer for Microprocessors. First at National Semiconductor, focusing on the Series 32000 and their Unix port.
Worked in the National Semiconductor Research Lab on multithreaded processors and synthesizable processors.
Ported the CompactRISC-32 from a proprietary design language (”Z”) to verilog with verification.
Designed a multithreaded CPU pipeline in VHDL.
Then at Atmel focusing on AVRs, AVR32s and ARM processors.
Spent a lot of time on Buildroot, OpenEmbedded and Yocto.
Quit, and started my own consultant company 2011 and has been using git/gerrit/Jenkins in a few custome4 projects since then.
