I am trying to fix an issue with my Jenkins install.

I need to install an update to the Folders plugin but I cannot access the Jenkins console due to the error. I need to download the jenkins.cli.jar file so I can try to update a plugin without the Jenkins console. The only way to download the jenkins-cli.jar is via the Jenkins console.

Is there a way to download jenkins.cli.jar without access to the console?

You could download it from another Jenkins installation, even if that is a temporary Jenkins installation. You could download it from [ci.jenkins.io command line](https://ci.jenkins.io/cli/).

You could download the plugin from the [updates.jenkins.io](https://updates.jenkins.io/) list of [latest releases](https://updates.jenkins.io/latest/). The latest folders plugin is available from [https://updates.jenkins.io/latest/cloudbees-folder.hpi](https://updates.jenkins.io/latest/cloudbees-folder.hpi)
