# Migrating Jenkins Instance to new AD

Hello,

we are currently trying to migrate a Jenkins Instance with existing Users (using the Active Directory Plugin) to a new active directory with a new **UserPrincipalName** the group associations won’t change. I’m wondering how this could be achieved. We are running Jenkins LTS 2.440.2.
