Your help is much appreciated in the below issue.

Issue : Jenkins Pipeline Intermittently cannot connect to Jira, to issue/edit issue/Update Comment we occasionally(4 out 10 times) getting Error Message: Hostname [jira.uat.ocbc.com](http://jira.uat.ocbc.com) not verified (no certificates)

Few months back we started seeing this issue when we moved from Jira server(1 application server) to the Jira Data Center( 3 application servers). So Jira DNS which used to connect to app server directly now have the load balancer which routes traffic to 3 nodes in the backend.

Having said that, we didn’t make any change in Jenkins we use the same Jira plugins and our Jenkins pipeline uses plugin functions to read or update Jira tickets.  
But Intermittently in the pipeline we see below error:  
4:16:11 [Pipeline] jiraGetIssue  
14:16:11 JIRA: Site - OCBC\_JIRA - Querying issue with idOrKey: ABCD-1055  
14:16:11 Error Code: -1  
14:16:11 Error Message: Hostname jira . xxx .com not verified (no certificates)

14:16:15 ERROR: Hostname [jira.xxx.com](http://jira.xxx.com) not verified (no certificates)  
14:16:15 Finished: FAILURE

In our pipeline we added the retry logic to mitigate this issue as mostly the issue gets resolved once/twice we retry, lately we are seeing more such failures of pipelines due to Jira step failures hence want to take your help in understanding the root cause of the issue.
