I’m Magupalli, a backend developer with around 1.5 years of industry experience. I’m interested in contributing to open-source and recently came across Jenkins while exploring CI/CD and DevOps tooling.
I’ve cloned Jenkins locally and started looking through some plugin repositories, but since this is my first time contributing to a large open-source project, I’m not fully sure where to start or how to approach the codebase correctly.
I’ve worked on a large private project in my company, but this is my first open-source contribution, and I’m really eager to learn the Jenkins ecosystem, plugin development, and CI/CD concepts in depth.
I’d really appreciate any guidance on beginner-friendly plugins, good first issues, or suggestions on how to get started and understand the project structure.
