Hi all!

Creating this topic for a discussion of Hacktoberfest 2022. It is is a month long celebration of open source software. It happens every year in October. During this event everyone can support open-source by contributing changes, and then earn a limited edition swag. We are going to participate as the Jenkins community, and we are looking for contributors and maintainers who want to join us in October!

I’ve also pinned this to the event category for the next month.  
If you edit the post and add dates to it (I think its a toolbar item) it should show up in [Jenkins](https://community.jenkins.io/upcoming-events) which wouldn’t hurt.

After 11 days, Hacktoberfest is going strong.

We have now 166 valid hacktoberfest PR 🎉  
They were submitted by 54 contributors (14 are qualifying for the Hacktoberfest swag).
