# GIT on Jenkins erratically fetches an older commit than the last executed one

Hi,  
I have a Gitlab triggered multibranch pipeline where the changeset list is used to copy files to a legacy mainframe.  
Hence, it is very important that the git local state must be consistent with remote one.  
Unfortunately, from time to time git decides not to checkout the latest commit but an older one, resulting in a humungous changeset at the next iteration (and missing commits if the clone depth option is too small). This poses certain synchronization issue I’d like to avoid.  
In this logs capture, you can see that git checks out on older commit (red), that the one built in the previous iteration (green).

How can I debug this wrong behavior ? I’ve already activated the  
`hudson.plugins.git.GitSCM.verbose=true` option, but it does not help me much.
