Hello everyone, my name is Savaliya Bhargav Mukeshbhai. I am a second year B.Tech student at SRM Institute of Science and Technology. I really enjoy building software that works well and helps people. I spend a lot of my time on competitive programming with C++, which helps me think clearly and solve problems fast. I want to use my skills to help the Jenkins community grow.
The Contributor Spotlight is a special place because it says thank you to the people who help Jenkins. I want to move the site from Gatsby to Vite and React so it stays fast and modern for a long time. To show I am ready, I already built a test version of the site which you can find on my GitHub at https://github.com/savaliyabhargav/contributor-spotlight-vitereact. In this prototype, I successfully rebuilt the cards and banners in clean React code. I also used Docker and Nginx so the app is ready for a real server and I set up GitHub Actions to make sure the code is always tested. I even made a faster way to load contributor data from Asciidoc files.
For my technical skills, I am very comfortable with React.js and JavaScript. I have used Python and Spring Boot to build APIs, and I have worked with Docker, Kubernetes, and GitHub Actions. I also have experience with TiDB distributed databases and PyTorch for AI, which helps me think about scalable architecture even for frontend projects. Some of my other projects include the Cuisinsta Food App, which is a full website with a React front and Python back, and TiDB AgentX, which uses AI and a big database.
I am ready to work 40 hours a week this summer. I do have exams from May 11 to May 22, and I will work 2 hours a day during that time. I will do extra work before and after my exams to stay on schedule. I would love to hear your feedback on my approach and you can find my profile at https://github.com/savaliyabhargav. Thank you for your time.
