# FOSDEM 2024 Stand Application

Hello,
In keeping with tradition, I am applying for a Jenkins stand at FOSDEM’24.
Response to the stand application is below. Comments are also welcome in this [gdoc](https://docs.google.com/document/d/1l6ZDCYAysBLd5haWV8LqRS0YZVqf0bAgc56e96F6k28/edit?usp=sharing). I plan to submit this application on October 2,2023. Pls provide feedback by then if any.

**Project description:**
Jenkins is the leading open source automation server. It helps automate the parts of software development related to building, testing, and deploying, facilitating continuous integration, and continuous delivery. Making it easier for developers and DevOps engineers to integrate changes to the project and for consumers to get a new build. It also enables the release of software continuously by interacting with various testing and deployment methods. Jenkins provides thousand plus plugins to support building, deploying and automating any project.

**Why do you want to be at FOSDEM?**
FOSDEM is a true and trusted open source event for software developers from around the globe. Much like its attendees, every year with much anticipation, the Jenkins project looks forward to this gathering. As Jenkins is the largest widely used open source CI/CD automation server, its presence at FOSDEM aims to share invaluable insights about Jenkins, while offering an excellent networking opportunity between Jenkins contributors/maintainers and users. More importantly, the Jenkins project has accomplished many improvements since FOSDEM 2023, many thanks to its contributors and maintainers, we look forward to sharing these updates with attendees.
