# Cannot create jenkins jobs

Hello, we have an intermittent problem creating new jenkins jobs, we get:

`Query parameter 'name' is required`

and we have no idea why. This happens sometimes 2-3 times and on the 4th refresh the job is created and sometimes we need 20+ refreshes. We are on Jenkins LTS 2.555.2. Nothing in the logs of Jenkins as well. Thank you for your support in advance !

It would help if you list all plugins that you have installed.  
Ideal would be some kind of env where it is easily reproducable.

The list of plugins contains many plugins that are deprecated or are outdated.  
Before doing any changes, take a backup of your JENKINS\_HOME directory so you can recover in case of any problems.

Deprecated plugins (there might be more):

- ace-editor
- handlebars
- momentjs
- jquery-detached
- windows-slaves
- translation

You should be able to uninstall them without problems

Outdated plugins (just 2 examples):

Update all plugins with the plugin manager and then restart your instance and then check if the problems are still there

Other recommendations:

- blue ocean is officially EOL. You have already pipeline-graph-view installed so there is no need for having 2 things doing alomost the same.
- pam-auth are you using this?
- Check all plugins if they are still in use

For the future, keep your system uptodate by updating core and plugins regularly.
